Today is the final day of the official public participation period of the project at oldinsurancemaps.net. My sincere gratitude to all of you, we’ve done a lot of great work!
Tomorrow the unofficial participation period starts, where I can finally work on the content and will begin trimming and combining all of the layers into single mosaics per city/year. This will improve the performance of the layers and allow me to transer them to LSU Atlas for long-term storage and public access.
I’ll be sure to send an update in the next few weeks, after I have been able to collect final usage statistics, and all that jazz.
